Closeness of friendship

He knows everything about her, right from her favourite books to her favorite bra. She knows everything about him, right from his favourite soccer club to his favourite x rated websites. He will complete her English homework, even at three in the night. She will arrange an Armani suit for him, even if it calls for flirting with ugly guys. He has her picture in his wallet. She has his number on speedial. They talk to each other all the time. They talk about each other when they don't talk to each other. They discuss everything from periods to PlayStation. They have tasted alcohol and then thrown up...together. They have bunked countless tuition's... together. They can't live without each other. YET They don't love each other. They are JUST FRIENDS

10 Ways to make your computer speeddddddddd

Many people will be planning on upgrading their laptop or PC this Christmas, but here are 10 ways of avoiding a costly new purchase
1) Uninstall unused programs
New PCs come with a whole load of programs you will never use, and you probably don't even know they exist.
Some programs even run background processes when you load your computer, even though you are not using them.To remove all these pointless programs, open the Control Panel's Programs and Features page, and have a trawl through the list of installed software. Uninstall those that you do not need, while being careful to leave programs your computer's hardware needs (typically their publisher will be listed as the PC maker's name or as Microsoft).
If you are still unsure about which programs to use, try a third-party called such as PC Decrapifier- it's free for non-commercial use - which should tell you which programs you don't want or need.

2) Automatically delete temporary files
Temporary files amass on your computer through everyday tasks and can remain on your hard disk, slowing the computer down. Getting rid of these files, including your internet history and cookies, should give you a larger amount of hard disk space, speeding up your PC.
To do this, open "My Computer", and select your local drive (usually C:\). Select the "Windows" folder and then open the folder titled "Temp".
Use your mouse to right-click on the folder, and in the "View" options, choose "Details". Once this is done, select all the files that are older than the current date and press the delete key. Then go to the Recycle Bin on your desktop and empty it.
3) Install a solid state drive
Hard drives are the biggest cause of slow speeds and especially slow startup speeds on your PC.
While they are not cheap, installing a solid state drive, which have extremely fast read times, can speed up your startup considerably.
4) More hard drive storage
Even if you make sure to regularly clean out all your temporarily files, if your hard drive becomes 85 per cent full, it's going to affect your computer's speed.
If you regularly film videos or use your PC for recording television, then you will want as big a hard drive as you can get, upwards of 1TB in size.
5) Prevent unnecessary start ups
This method will primarily affect how long it takes for your laptop or PC to startup, but often many of the programs which are launched on startup continue to run and use up your computer's memory.
To do this, click "Start" and "Run". In "Run", type "msconfig" and then press enter. You should then see the "Startup" tab, with all the programs ticked the ones which will load upon your computer starting up. There is a good chance the list will contain a number of programs you might not have realised were running on your computer during startup, or even at all.
You can either manually deselect those which you do not want to load, or click "Disable All" and then select those you want to run, such as particularly important programs like anti-virus software.
Another trick can be removing all the unnecessary fonts Windows loads. Windows 7 loads more than 200 fonts on startup which can slow down the speed at which it boots up. Go to the Start Menu's search box, search for the Fonts folder and check off all the fonts you don't need, and click the "Hide" button in the toolbar.
6) More RAM
RAM, which stands for Random Access Memory, is the temporary storage memory used by your computer and is in use when tasks are being executed by different programs. Therefore, the more programs you use, the more RAM you need, and the slower your computer will be if you don't have enough.
A clear indicator of not having enough RAM is if your computer slows down every time you try and process large files, or it freezes will carrying out several different actions at once.
You can either add more RAM with an extra memory stick or two, or buy getting completely new memory if all the slots are taken. There is theoretically no upper limit on the amount of RAM that you can have with a 64-bit operating system, but in practical terms 4GB is more than enough for most people.
You can also find out how many RAM your computer is using in the Task Manager's Performance tab (hit Ctrl-Shift-Esc to bring this up).

7) Run a disk defragment
Sounds complicated, but this is basically a way of reconfiguring how your hard drive stores information for maximum efficiency.

Go to "My Computer", right-click on the hard drive and select "Properties". Under the "Tools" tab there should be an option to "Defragment Now".

8) Run disk clean up
Windows also includes a built-in disk de-cluttering tool called "Disk Cleanup".
It searches through the system for unnecessary large files such as temporary Internet files, program installers, and so on.
Open Disk Cleanup by clicking "Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup".
9) Give your computer a static IP
Another trick for speeding up your computer loading time is to give your computer a static IP address that never changes.
When you startup your computer, it spends a decent amount of time asking the network for an IP address. Not only does having a static IP address make the network easier to manage (particularly if you have several devices using the same network), but it also cuts time off your startup.
To do this, visit the "Network and Sharing Center", and select "Change adapter settings". Right click on your local adapter and select "Properties". You then need to highlight what should be titled "Internet Protocoal Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and click the properties button.
In "Use the following IP address" enter in the correct IP, Subnet mask, and Default gateway which correspond with your network setup.
Make sure to check "Validate settings upon exit" so Windows can find any problems with the addresses you entered.
To find out what your IP, subnet mask and default gateway are, go to "Start" and then "Run", and typin "cmd". At the command prompt, type "IPCONFIG/All" and it should come up, as shown below.
10) Hoovering out the dust
Again, this sounds a tad radical, but dust is your computer's enemy. It can impede airflow, which is vital to keeping your computer's temperature down, and if your computer is overheating, it is likely it will slow down its performance to cope.(Incidentally, overheating will also make it impossible to use programs such as Skype, because for the person on the other end of the conversation it constantly sounds like an aeroplane is taking off).
If you have a desktop or a laptop, you can take off the computer's exterior and use a hoover on a low power setting to try and remove some of the dust. Make sure your computer has been switched off for at least 30 minutes and that all cables are disconnected before starting your clean.
Use your hoover with a small attachment, and try either the reverse setting to blow air into the vents and push the dust out, or use its standard suction to try and extract some of the dust.

Attention bloggers

Starting a blog can seem overwhelming, but in truth, it's one of the simplest ways to join the online community. Follow these tips to ensure your blog is positioned for success.
1. Define Your Goals
Before you start a new blog, it's essential that you define your goals for it. Your blog has a greater chance of success if you know from the beginning what you hope to accomplish with it. Are you trying to establish yourself as an expert in your field? Are you trying to promote your business? Are you simply blogging for fun and to share your ideas and opinions? Your short and long term goals for your blog are dependent on the reason why you're starting your blog. Think ahead to what you'd like to gain from your blog in six months, one year and three years. Then design, write and market your blog to meet those goals.

2. Know Your Audience
Your blog's design and content should reflect the expectations of your audience. For example, if your intended audience is teenagers, the design and content would be quite different than a blog targeted to corporate professionals. Your audience will have inherent expectations for your blog. Don't confuse them but rather meet and exceed those expectations to gain reader loyalty.
3. Be Consistent
Your blog is a brand. Just like popular brands such as Coke or Nike, your blog represents a specific message and image to your audience, which is your brand. Your blog's design and content should consistently communicate your blog's overall brand image and message. Being consistent allows you to meet your audience's expectations and create a secure place for them to visit again and again. That consistency will be rewarded with reader loyalty.
4. Be Persistent
A busy blog is a useful blog. Blogs that are not updated frequently are perceived by their audiences as static web pages. The usefulness of blogs comes from their timeliness. While it's important not to publish meaningless posts else you may bore your audience, it's essential that you update your blog frequently. The best way to keep readers coming back is to always have something new (and meaningful) for them to see.
5. Be Inviting
One of the most unique aspects of blogging is its social impact. Therefore, it's essential that your blog welcomes readers and invites them to join a two-way conversation. Ask your readers to leave comments by posing questions than respond to comments from your readers. Doing so will show your readers that you value them, and it will keep the conversation going. Continue the conversation by leaving comments on other blogs inviting new readers to visit your blog for more lively discussions. Your blog's success is partially dependent on your readers' loyalties to it. Make sure they understand how much you appreciate them by involving them and recognizing them through meaningful two-way conversation.
6. Be Visible
Much of your blog's success relies on your efforts outside your blog. Those efforts include finding like-minded bloggers and commenting on their blogs, participating in social bookmarking through sites such as Digg and StumbleUpon, and joining social networking sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn. Blogging is not a demonstration of, "if you build it, they will come." Instead, developing a successful blog requires hard work by creating compelling content on your blog as well as working outside of your blog to promote it and develop a community around it.
7. Take Risks
Beginner bloggers are often afraid of the new blogging tools and features available to them. Don't be afraid to take risks and try new things on your blog. From adding a new plug-in to holding your first blog contest, it's important that you keep your blog fresh by implementing changes that will enhance your blog. Alternatively, don't fall prey to every new bell and whistle that becomes available for your blog. Instead, review each potential enhancement in terms of how it will help you reach your goals for your blog and how your audience will respond to it.
8. Ask for Help
Even the most experienced bloggers understand the blogosphere is an ever-changing place and no one knows everything there is to know about blogging. Most importantly, bloggers are part of a close-knit community, and the majority of bloggers understand that everyone is a beginner at some point. In fact, bloggers are some of the most approachable and helpful people you can find. Don't be afraid to reach out to fellow bloggers for help. Remember, the success of the blogosphere relies on networking, and most bloggers are always willing to expand their networks regardless of whether you're a beginner blogger or seasoned pro.
9. Keep Learning
It seems like everyday there are new tools available to bloggers. The Internet changes quickly, and the blogosphere is not an exception to that rule. As you develop your blog, take the time to research new tools and features, and keep an eye on the latest news from the blogosphere. You never know when a new tool will roll out that can make your life easier or enhance your readers' experiences on your blog.

A Review -Can Love Happen Twice

Love, like life, is so insecure. It moves in our lives and occupies its sweet space in our hearts so easily. But it never guarantees that it will stay there forever. Probably that’s why it is so precious.

The day I finished off reading “I too had a love story”, I had a question in my mind. Unlike you, I too asked myself, what would have happened with Ravin afterwards? Will he find a true love ever again in his life? Will he have same feelings for someone as he had for Khushi? How long he will bear this pain and cry till late hours in night? Everything has an answer in the dictionary of God. We’re unlucky at times to turn every page for exploring truth and its impact on our lives.

I grabbed the copy at 9pm and I turned its last page at 4am. Since then, I was unable to figure out my own thoughts about how did I find the book? Was I happy as I was eagerly waiting for this book? Was I under the impression that it will have a happy ending? I wasn’t thinking anything sort of, what I have got to read in this book. I’m here to pen down my thoughts about one known and unknown character to whom I have come across.

The story begins…..

Ravin - is a known character. He was failed in love at first. God has something else for him in fate. He loved Khushi deeply and passionately. It was hard to bear the pain so he wrote a tribute in the form of book to his dead girlfriend. Life doesn’t go as accordance to our plan and Ravin became the victim of it. Even after writing the book, he wasn’t able to move on with other aspects of life. On an offshore project, he went to Belgium and his life changed. He explored the beauty of that country. He met different people with different languages, color, faith and beliefs. He met his lost love again. He experienced happiness and beauty of love again. He met Simar. Sometimes we get attracted towards someone without any known reason, the same thing happened with him too. It became hard to digest, live, accept and imagine this fact that he was in love again. He had been in love in past but falling in love again? He had a question…Was it really happening too fast? Why was he getting attracted to Simar? Why did he like her? He showered all his pure feelings and affection on Simar as he did for Khushi. They roamed around, visited different places, saw movies, shared things and made love. They were madly in love. Was it enough to forget the memories of Khushi? Was it enough to get along with life? No. It wasn’t. It’s all about the choices we made in our life like he did. He suffered in love again. He lost in love again. Now he has two pasts…for which one he shall cry more, he himself doesn’t know.

Simar - A beautiful and charming girl from Gurgaon, who has moved to Belgium for completing her MBA degree. She met Ravin in Gym and they started meeting and hanging around. She starts visiting his home for having gala time. He starts treating her as someone very special in his life. Deep within his heart, he find it difficult to like a girl again but I believe it’s quite natural. Feelings don’t come with intentions, they come spontaneously. You cannot control them. Dare you control them and they destroy you. After spending 10 months in Belgium, Ravin comes back to India. It’s hard to bear the distance when two people are in love. They compensate their longingness to see and feel each other through video chat and phone calls. Simar comes back to India for holidays and Ravin meets her parents. After sometime, she visits Ravin’s parents in Chandigarh. Everything was going smoothly as one expects once in love. Simar moves to Belgium again for completing her studies. Change is constant and it starts taking place. Once they have made up their mind to get married, the problem starts. Simar wants to be settled in Belgium with Ravin. She wants to explore different parts but with Ravin only. Ravin doesn’t wish to leave his parents. He has a word with Simar’s parents and they don’t feel astonished hearing the illogical and insensible demands of their daughter. That’s how she has been raised and that’s how she will always be. Going through all the pain, madness, fights, annoyances, Simar finally decides to leave Ravin on 24 Feb, the same day when Khushi died and left him alone.

He has left on us to figure out the fiction and non fiction part in his story. I tell you my two cents:

Fiction: He wasn’t admitted to a rehabilitation centre because simar left him. He wasn’t able to move on his life after what Simar did to him. Why I think so? The way he loved Khushi, the way he was broken, nobody can ever make him feel the same pain twice except Khushi.

Non Fiction : He definitely met someone named as Simar. He must have fallen in love with her. He must have confessed everything to her the way he did to Khushi. He’s not married to Simar. That’s what I believe because she simply doesn’t deserve so.

My Views

Ravin has written this book with an intention of making Today’s generation understand the real meaning of Love. Today, it’s all about roaming around, having sex and break ups. One doesn’t understand the meaning of these three words i.e. I love you and take it as a statement to compliment anyone. If they’re serious, their family doesn’t agree and vice versa. People are so frequent in changing partners as they change other grocery items at home. How easy it becomes when we have a relationship without commitment Isn’t it? But I tell you what, nothing is easy in life. Commitment and non commitment has nothing to do with feelings of a person. Love has lost its real charm and affect. We are so fast in falling in love again. We have become super practical in considering he didn’t have this quality so I left him. Today, it’s all about the choices. Earlier we didn’t have any. I ain’t targeting anyone but this is what I have seen in my life also. How do I define myself? Well, I’m someone who is die-hard romantic and can never break the heart of a person who truly value and love me. Commitment has a meaning in my life as I don’t believe in making it till the time I know I’m ready for it.

People do live with memories- not sure how many and not sure how. Yeah they do live with memories. I know one of them. It is quite possible as Love holds different meaning for everyone who has experienced it.

Overall Ratings 3.5/5.

A warm good morning
